Client: Byredo is a European luxury brand founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham, with an ambition to translate memories and emotions into products and experiences. Byredo is reinventing the world of luxury through a new approach, where creation is led by emotions, expressing a full and limitless brand universe.

Client: Noe Kuremoto is a ceramic artist who makes everything by hand using simple tools. She’s known for playful sculptural work that takes the form of functional wares. Her pieces mix child-like simplicity with contemporary sophistication, and incorporate her background in Fine Art and design with her cultural heritage. She shares the traditional Japanese view that sprits are everywhere, especially in nature. Noe was born in Osaka Japan, and graduated in Fine Art with First Class Honours from Central Saint Martins College of Art.

What: Summer product images for the Instagram grid.
Description: Summer 2020 OddBird introduced the Wine-cooler-rope that was used to lower your wine into the water on your picnic or beach day.

Sketches: When starting on still-life images for a client I always make hand-drawn sketches.
These sketches are an indication on the direction the final image will have. When everyone has agreed on the sketch I start gathering material for each image. The plants and fruits (for ex.) I end up with decides how I build the setup. Are the plant bending left or right, how is the pear shaped, what colour grading does the peach have etc.
